Item Description
Hallmarked in London in 1878 by Elkington & Co., this stunning, Aesthetic period, Victorian, Antique Sterling Silver Batchelor Tea Set & Tray, is wonderfully engraved throughout with naturalistic engraving and each piece carries an engraved crest. The design of the set is attributed to Dr. Christopher Dresser. The tray measures 13"(33cm) wide. The teapot measures 4.5"(12cm) tall, by 5"(12.5cm) from handle to spout and the other pieces are in proportion. The tea set and tray together weigh 46 troy ounces.
