Item Description
A magnificent Antique Victorian sterling Silver Inkstand with a pair of Inkwells, a central rectangular box with a fitted lid supporting a small lamp with a snake handle. The Inkstand has a rectangular base which stands on four impressive claw feet with stylized leaf decorations atop the feet. The Inkwells are embellished with rams heads connected with swags and flame shaped stoppers, There are two long sunken wells for pen rests. The central box has a small crest engraved on the side.
Made in London, England in 1880 by Walter and John Barnard.
