Item Description

Wonderful hand painted coat of arms.
Very fine work with gold.

Represents heraldic armorial of 5th Marquess of Lansdowne

Henry Petty Fitzmaurice, who married Lady Maud Evelyn Hamilton in 1869. He was Governor General of Canada, then Viceroy of India.

Beautifully painted, signed by the Artist R.Bretton.

I would not be surprised if he was an artist for the College of Arms
as the work is so good.

Measures 16 Inches wide and 15 Inches tall.

Excellent condition.

Mounted in an oak frame, all original.

Late 19th to early 20th framed watercolor painting.

Lansdale Hall was situated off Berkley Square in London.

The central section of the building remains, as the Lansdowne Club
