		Item Description

An elegant pair of Georgian Old English pattern sugar tongs (which could be used for ice), by the renown maker, Richard Crossley.
We can date this pair of tongs fairly accurately, because Crossley registered hhis mark in 1782 and the King's Head Duty Mark is not yet present. That mark was introduced in 1784.
Length: 5 ½ inches, or 14cm
