Item Description

A lovely, large Old English pattern tablespoon with substantial weight and good balance in the hand. This spoon bears the sought after maker's mark of Hester Bateman, the renowned lady who ran one of the most prolific workshops in Georgian London.

The King's Head Duty mark is a rare, incuse, and unusually small one...of interest to collectors of rare hallmarks.
