Antique sterling silver sauce ladle or gravy ladle in the Old English pattern with a family crest of an eagle defeating a crane and the motto "ne oublie" - don't forget.

Old English pattern was the first English domestic pattern. Since the middle of the 18th century, during the reign of George III, Old English, with its easy simplicity, graceful line and simple decorative pip, has been one of the most popular and enduring of all patterns and forms the basis for several decorative versions.
