Item Description

A stylish antique George III sterling silver tea service consisting of a teapot and stand, cream jug and sugar bowl.
Each piece of this impressive Georgian Service is of a serpentine style, with bright-cut engraving and a cartouche on either side – one containing a crest and the other plain.
The teapot has a domed hinged lid, surmounted by a styled pineapple. The cream jug and sugar bowl both have thread decorated handles and gilded interiors.
The service is made by W. P. Cunningham of Edinburgh in 1796 (sugar bowl dated 1798).
Dimensions: height of teapot to height of finial 18.41 cm
