Here is a superb rare Chinese export armorial porcelain plate, made for the Scottish LINDSAY family of WORMISTON HOUSE,Wormiston,Fife Scotland. Beautifully painted example.

Condition: Perfect condition.


History

George Lindsay married Margaret Bethune of Kilconquhar and died in 1764. The present Earl of Lindsay is descended from his younger brother, Patrick. See Chinese Armorial Porcelain, Vol 1 by David Howard, Page 496.
