Normally when you hear the name 'Ebenezer' you think of only one person: Scrooge, the curmudgeonly character of Dickens' classic
Christmas tale. Well, here is the handiwork of an altogether more appealing character named Ebenezer: Ebenezer Coker, maker of some of the most sublime, tactile, and (dare I say it?) yes, even sexy eating implements ever to wield a hammer to bash the precious metal we love so much. This spoon, with its sensuous, pillowy edges and elongated bowl, soft but substantial weight and feel is a true aphrodisiac, and once you have handled and used such a piece, there's no going back, my friends. Your silver dealer will become the only source of your next 'fix', as you simply will not be able to resist the siren's song of eating implements like this. But what an addiction to cultivate! This spoon is in great condition. The crest is showing signs of wear from being laid on centuries of tables. The great weight of the spoon when resting face up is the culprit here, and there is nothing to be done but sit back and enjoy the expert engraving.
