Item Description
A superb and rare Minton royal porcelain armorial plate. This bears the cypher or monogram of Prince Edward, Later KING EDWARD VII 1841-1910 and Princess Alexandra, later QUEEN ALEXANDRA 1844-1925. It was made between 1865-1905, when Edward was Prince of Wales, a special commission for the Prince. The elegant cypher with Royal crown is surrounded by fine gilded "pearls" and turquoise enamel "jewels".
Material: Porcelain.
Date: late 19thC to early 20thC.
Dimensions: Approx 8.75 Ins wide.
Condition: Excellent condition. Two short rim cracks, hard to see.
