Item Description
Superb pair of Coalport or Worcester armorial porcelain plates circa 1820. Regency period. Central crest of a boy with viper around the neck. Polished bud like gilding to rim.
Legend has it an ancestor who was being born in a garden, was marked with a white circle around the neck (for life), where a viper had circled it.
Measurements: 7.5 Inches wide.
Condition: Good for age, ring and display well. Plate A with small rim crack and tight central crack. Plate B some crazing.
