Item Description
A superb pair of Royal Worcester plates. These were probably made for the banquets at Guildhall, attended by the Mayor of London , royalty and prominent politicians of the day. Guildhall has been the seat of power for the city since the 12th Century. it continues to host banquets for special occasions and visiting heads of state.
Superb turquoise ground, with polished gold accents and jewelling. Central London shield. Motto "Domine Dirige Nos". A wonderful display for the mantlepiece.
Condition: Excellent. Minor wear/regilding. One plate with small rimcrack to back. Invisible on front.
Measurements: 23cm across.
