Item Description

This pair of Georgian silver knife rests are very clever and very useful. They sit on the table and when you have finished carving, you rest the knife on top so that you don't dirty the table cloth. They would be a real talking point on roast dinner days and its nice that they are so useable still. Also as a point of interest, the crest and motto, which is a boars head, belongs to the Nisbet family, and Admiral Horatio Nelson married a Nisbet. They are in great condition and would make a very special and usual gift.
