Item Description
A Superb Chamberlains Worcester Plate made for the SCOTT family of Great Barr Hall, Staffs. On a rich cobalt blue ground, with Japanese Imari type decoration, with fine goldwork, central coat of arms. Motto translates to "faithful to king and country". I have one other plate, matching.
The Baronecy was created for Joseph Scott M.P in 1806. For whom this service was probably made.
"On a mount vert, a beacon sa, fired ppr, the ladder gu."
Measurements: 9.25 Inches(23.5cm)
Condition: Hair crack to footwell,
slight wear. Displays beautifully with bright gold.
Crest: Fairburns 1905.
