Item Description
This is a beautiful Victorian silver fork in brilliant condition with nice, even tines. It has a good weight and balance in the hand and is a high quality piece. The crest is engraved on the reverse of the handle, which means this piece came from a household which set the table in the Continental style, with spoons and forks turned so that the tips of the spoons and the tines of the forks touch the table. Very grand indeed. The crest is simply gorgeous...almost worth buying this piece for it alone! It is a very cheeky looking fox head with his ears pricked up at full attention. Irresistible.
20.5cm 8" long
