Item Description

These are a fabulous pair of Victorian silver serving tongs. The beautifully pierced serving grips would indicate that they were intended for asparagus, but with the retainer lip at the edge of one grip, these tongs could be put to a variety of practical purposes. The quality and condition is fabulous throughout with a finely engraved crest to the outside of the bow and a good hefty feel in the hand. Fully hallmarked including appropriate part marks to the central restraining bar.

25.5cm long;
