this good quality crested George II silver Warwick cruet was made in London in 1748 by Samuel Wood and measures 8.5 inches tall by 6.75 inches wide, it has 3 baluster shaped castors with beautifully pierced pull off tops and 2 nicely cut oil and vinegar bottles with silver tops, the cinquefoil shaped base has 2 rings for the tops, cast and scrolled arms leading into cast shell feet with a central shaped cartouche bearing the crest of a lion rampant matching the crest on the castors and it has a central, cast carrying handle. It is fully and clearly hallmarked under the base and to the handle with all the castors hallmarked to match and is it excellent condition with no problems and weighing 39.80 or 1238 grams without the glass bottles, a very striking piece of useful silver for your dining table.
