a very fine and large 19th century Scottish horn snuff mull, the mounts unmarked, the cover with an applied shield engraved with a crest and a motto 'Manu Forti', the hinge mount pierced and engraved with thistles and roses, the plain collar engraved 'To Angus McKay as a mark of respect from Wm. Hunter Glasgow 1838', the suspension loop with three chains hung with a fiddle pattern snuff spoon, an ivory tapper and a hare's paw,
