A 19th century armorial bookplate for George Readman.
George Readman, 1818-1894, general manager of the Clydesdale Bank, 1852-1880, whose prudent management steered the bank through the banking crises of 1855, 1866 & 1878. Born in Yorkshire and raised in Edinburgh.
Condition: Very good.
Framed in matt black.
