Item Description

A good eighteenth century armorial bookplate for William Hanbury Esq of Kelmarsh in Northamptonshire.

William Hanbury, 1704-1768, was a noted antiquary who commissioned Francis Smith of Warwick to build Kelmarsh Hall to a James Gibbs design.

Dimensions 56mm by 68mm.

In good condition and framed in Matt black with a cream mount.
