Item Description
Here is a superb Chinese Qianlong period armorial deep plate, made for the Auchmuty family of Scotland. Beautifully painted famille rose enamel flowers and spearhead border.
The service was probably made for the Auchmuty family of Fife or Brianstown, Longford. Thomas Auchmuty of Dublin married his cousin Judith, daughter of Samuel Auchmuty of Brianstown in November 1757. He resided at Kilmore House, Roscommon.
Measurements: 9 Inches (23cm) wide
1.75 Inches (4.5cm) deep.
Condition: Fine haircrack under shield. Minor chips to rim.
