Born 1872 the eldest son of Rev Frederick Whetmore Holland, Vicar of Evesham, Worcestershire and Penelope, daughter of Robert Martin Esq. of Overbury Court, Tewkesbury. The Rev Holland was the second son of Edward Holland Esq. MP of Dumbleton Gloucestershire.
