The Cooper Family Crest
Rev Sir William Henry Cooper, 4th Baronet of Nova Scotia (created 1638) of Gorgar (1766-1834). Married Isabella, daughter and heiress of Moses Franks of Teddington Middlesex. Taken from an early 19th century bookplate; F6802. Listed in Thomas Robson's "British Herald or Cabinet of Armorial bearings of the nobility and gentry of great britain and ireland from the earliest to the present times" 1830 but not apparently listed in the roll of baronets of Nova Scotia. These arms were granted by the Lord Lyon to Cowper (pronounced Cooper) in 1672. Curious.
