The Standing Family Crest
Commander Sir Guy Standing KBE RNVR (1873-1936) was an English actor who was knighted for his part in the British War Mission to the USA in 1918. He was the scion of an acting family and married Dorothy Plaskitt and he adopted the Plaskett crest which has subsequently been used by his descendants. It is possible that he registered arms with the College of Arms following his knighthood although there is no entry for the family in Fox Davies.
