The Willymott Family Crest

James Willymott of Kelshall, Hertfordshire, 1621-1702, High Sheriff of Hertfordshire and arms granted 1684. The only son of James Willymott of Kelshall, 1581-1662, and Elizabeth Morrison. James Willymott (the 2nd) had an only daughter, Anne (b.1668) , who married James Crosse in 1691, who succeeded to the Kelshall estate. James Willymott (the elder) also had 2 daughters. Anne married her cousin John Willymott in 1648 and they had a daughter, also called Anne (b. 1651) who married Rev Edward Browne, 1643-1700, Rector of Conington, Cambridgeshire whose descendants adopted the Willymott arms (see that family). James Willymott, the elder, had a younger daughter, Helen, who married Richard Ball, Master of the Temple, died in 1684.
