The Collingwood Family Crest

George Lewis Newnham Collingwood. Born in 1782, George Lewis Newnham married Sarah Collingwood in 1810, the daughter of the celebrated Admiral Lord Collingwood. He added the surname Collingwood by Royal Licence in 1819. Author of "Life and Correspondance of Admiral Lord Collingwood" and the poem "Alfred the Great". He died in 1835.
