M. 1887 Catherine Emily Burge, dau. of Charles Burge, of Park Crescent, London and by whom he had 1 son and 3 daughters. Created 7 Oct 1910 Baron Robson, of Jesmond in the County of Northumberland for life. A barrister, Inner Temple 1880, QC 1892, Bencher 1899; Member of Parliament (Liberal) for Bow and Bromley 1885-86 and for South Shields 1895-1910; Recorder of Newcastle-upon-Tyne 1895-1905; Solicitor-General 1905-08; knighted 1905; Attorney-General 1908-10; Privy Councillor 1910; a Lord of Appeal in Ordinary 1910-12; GCMG 1911.
