The Tuckerman Family Crest

The colonist of the name, John Tuckerman, son of Thomas Tuckerman, of Co. Devon, England, arrived at Boston, Mass., in 1654. The arms we give have been constantly used by the descendants of that John Tuckerman, and are also found on the tomb of Bishop Peter Tuckerman, buried in the Duchy of Brunswick, Germany. The Bishop belonged to the Devonshire Tuckermans, and had been tutor to the son of the Duke of Brunswick.
