The Wanton Family Crest

These arms are found on the tombstone of the wife of George Wanton [1726], in the Old North Burial Ground, at Newport, R. I. Governor John Wanton [1734], and his son, Governor Gideon Wanton [1745], both of Rhode Island, used the same devices on their official seals. These are the arms of the Wantons of Co. Huntingdon, England.
