The Chew Family Crest

Thses arms are attributed by Engish heraldic authorities not to the Chew name, but to a Cheymew family, and found only in Glover's Ordinary of Arms [statement reproduced in Papwortfts Odinary of British Armorials]. They are found on the seal used by John Chew, said to be a Cadet of the Chews of Chewton, Co. Somerset, England, He was a member of the Virginia House of Assembly in 1623.
