The Underhill Family Crest
John Underhill, Gentleman, an officer by profession, and belonging to the Underhills of Wolverhampton, county Stafford, England, came over to Boston in 1630, and acted actively and successfully towards the suppression of the neighboring Indians. A branch of the family settled later in the New York province, and possessed important estates in Westchester county.
