The Reade Family Crest

Lawrence Reade, of the family of Reade of Wenburn, county Devon, England, came to the New York province in the first years of the last century. He and his descendants always made use, unchallenged, of the coat of arms we give. The township of Red Hook, Dutchess county, N. Y., took its name from the Reade family.
