The Amory Family Crest
The father of the emigrant was Robert Amory, of Bunratty, Ireland (1600). Jonathan Amory, the emigrant, moved to the Carolinas, where he held high offices, and died in 1699. His son settled in Boston. From him come all the Amorys in Ireland and America descending from the Amorys of Bunratty. A copy of the arms was obtained by the family, from the Ulster Herald, in 1864.
