The Eliot Family Crest
The Eliots of Saint-Germans, county Devon, England, count amongst the oldest families of England. To them belonged the now-extinct Earldom of St. Germans. They trace their origin to Sir William de Aliot, who came over with the Conqueror. The emigrant, John Eliot, is well known as the Apostle of the Indians. He reached America in 1631.
