Augustus, Esquire, of Bracon Hall, Norfolk. [Younger brother of Rev Thomas Berney and the son of Thomas Trenche Berney of Morton Hall. The Berneys of Morton Hall were a branch of the Berneys of Reedham (see Berney Baronet of Reedham). Sir Thomas de Berney having acquired considerable lands in Norfolk following his marriage to Margaret, daughter and heiress of William de Reedham in the time of Edward III. ]
