Fantastic crested Victorian silver inkstand London 1846 by the Foxes

This fantastic crested Victorian silver inkstand was made in London in 1846 by the Foxes and measures 11.5 inches long by 11 inches front to back of the handle and is just over 1 inch tall. The base is shaped and has a leaf and twig border with twig feet and the handle is of leaves and a trumpet flower, the inkwells either side are of melon/gourd form with capped leaf, flower and stem terminals and inside have a clear glass liner to one and a Bristol blue one to the other with the central pear having a twig and leaf handle with bell inside when lifted off there is a taper stick holder below and there is a shaped pen well with engraving surrounding it. All pieces are crested with an elephants head and all are fully hallmarked including the clapper. A superb piece of silver that is most unusual and is in excellent condition weighing 31.2 ounces or 1004 grams.
