Item Description

A set of four fantastic George III antique silver candlesticks standing on square, bead edge bases. The bases are decorated with husk garland swags – on three of the sides there are cartouches of flowers, and on the fourth side, the cartouche contains a crest.
The columns are reeded – the capitals are Empire style and have beautifully cast and chased applied swags.
The original removable nozzles also have a bead edge and are crested.
A wonderful set of neoclassical candlesticks in superb condition.
Dimensions: height 30.5 cm
There is a virtually identical set in the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
