Item Description

These pretty Victorian silver salt spoons have been well looked after and show very little signs of wear. They have gilded bowls -which are in wonderful condition- and the fiddle and thread pattern is equally appropriate for traditional and modern settings. This pair is nicely proportioned and could be used for a variety of condiments and spices, not just for salt.
They have an unusual and interesting crest a salamander surrounded by an aureole of fire, holding a cross in its mouth and with an arrow through the chest. The hallmarks are lovely and clear and its nice to note the female maker Elizabeth Eaton.
