Here is a superb and large Chinese armorial charger. From the 1720's to 30's this stunning piece bears the arms of VAN GELLICUM of the NETHERLANDS. Some excellent restoration commensurate with age. Perfect for any discerning collection.

History

Harmen Van Gellecum was a Quartermaster or Leading Seaman who sailed on four East Indiamen ships of the Dutch East India Company (VOC) Zeeland to Batavia 1728-36.

Material: Porcelain.
Date: Circa 1720-30.
Dimensions: Approx. 14 Inches (35cm) wide.
Condition: Crack across and another, very well restored.
