Item Description
Here is a superb set of Chambelain's Worcester tureens or serving dishes. Each finial is formed as a Viscount's coronet or crown. A demi winged eagle forms the crest within a motto. I think this was a commemorative motto, rather than a family one. Decorated with repeated green shamrocks or clover probably for an Irish Viscount. A truly stunning set. Garrard & Co of London made similar tureens in silver and this design, with its gadrooned border was probably inspired by those. A wonderful display. Perfect for any discerning collection. A truly noble set.
Material: Porcelain.
Date: Circa 1820
Dimensions: Various.
Condition: Excellent condition. Minor restoration to tip crown.
Slight crazing to tureen lids. Chips to rim. See pics.
