A 19th century armorial bookplate for George Langton Hodgkinson.
The Rev. George Langton Hodgkinson (1837-1915) was born in Kentish Town, the son of George Hodgkinson, and educated at Harrow and Pembroke College, Oxford. A keen sportsman he played twice in the Eton Harrow annual cricket match and subsequently played 11 1st class matches for Oxford University and Middlesex before becoming a clergyman.
Condition: Good.
Framed in matt black.
